They wanted to develop an online community platform to make people aware of the global and environmental issues, pitfalls of materialistic living, benefits of self-sustainable living, and the tips and tricks to preserve our natural heritage. In addition, they were also aiming this platform to work for social development initiatives.

Later, they wanted to promote this online platform globally using search engine optimization and social media tools.

After understanding all the functional requirements of client, we opted for WordPress as the most suitable Content Management System. We used a premium WordPress theme from WooThemes. To make it ideal for serving all the needs of proposed online platform we worked on WordPress themes customization and included some of the most useful WordPress plugins in the theme. For integration of social components, we worked on development of custom WordPress widgets.

Results

The end result after WordPress customization was an easy to use and manage application. The client can easily add and edit contents, images, and other rich media in the website very easily. To make the contents easily indexable by search engine, we integrated some of the best SEO plugins for WordPress in the website. Client could easily track the number of daily visitors, traffic sources, and most popular posts right from the WordPress Admin without going to Web Analytics. We also integrated Feedburner account for quick management of email subscribers.
